Terms of Use
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Highglossy FZE for the use of My Card Wallet: Secure Notes (“My Card Wallet”). They cover what the service does, what it deliberately does not do, and what each of us is responsible for. Please read the section on what My Card Wallet is and is not in particular: it explains the one thing people most often assume about a product like this and get wrong.
1.Agreement
My Card Wallet: Secure Notes is operated by Highglossy FZE, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates, with its registered office at Al Shmookh Business Center, One UAQ, UAQ Free Trade Zone, Umm Al Quwain, U.A.E. (“we”, “us”).
By downloading, installing or using My Card Wallet: Secure Notes, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
2.Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding contract where you live. If you are using My Card Wallet: Secure Notes on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it to these terms.
3.Your account
Your account is created from a cryptographic key generated on your device and held in its secure store. We do not issue passwords and we do not hold your name or email address.
This has a consequence you must understand before you rely on My Card Wallet: the key is the account. If you lose the device and have no other device signed in, we cannot restore your access, verify your identity, or recover your capsules. We are not being unhelpful; we hold nothing that would let us do it. Sealed capsules already shared with recipients remain openable by those recipients; anything not yet shared is lost with the key.
An active subscription is the one thing that does survive, because the store, not us, holds that record. Restoring purchases on a new device reattaches the subscription to the new account.
You are responsible for keeping your device, its passcode and its biometric enrolment secure.
4.What My Card Wallet: Secure Notes is, and is not
My Card Wallet keeps your card details on your device, stores encrypted files in capsules and releases them to people you nominate, under conditions you set: a time, an approval, or a delay.
My Card Wallet is not a will, a trust, a testamentary instrument, or any part of an estate plan. Placing a document in a capsule gives it no legal effect. It does not transfer property, appoint anyone to anything, or express a legally recognised intention. Where you want a legal outcome after your death, you need a will drawn up under the law of your jurisdiction, and you should speak to a solicitor. A capsule may usefully sit alongside such a document; it can never substitute for one.
My Card Wallet is not a backup service, a safe-deposit box, or an archival guarantee. It is not a secure messaging service and it is not designed to resist a determined state adversary. It is not a payment instrument: it stores card details for your convenience and never charges a card.
We do not verify recipients. Anyone holding a valid invite link, and where applicable the correct security answers, can open the capsule. If you send the link to the wrong person, or a recipient passes it on, that person can open it. Choosing who receives a link is entirely yours.
5.Your content
You keep every right you already have in what you put into a capsule. We claim no ownership of it and acquire no licence to it beyond what is technically necessary to store the encrypted blob and deliver it to your recipient, which, since we cannot decrypt it, amounts to holding and transmitting bytes.
You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to store and share it. You must not use My Card Wallet to store or transmit anything unlawful, anything that infringes another person's rights, or anything designed to harm a recipient or a system.
We cannot moderate what we cannot read. Where we receive a credible report of abuse, the action available to us is to suspend an account or remove a capsule wholesale, not to inspect it.
6.Acceptable use
You must not:
- Attempt to gain access to another user's account, data or key material.
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems without our prior written consent, or otherwise interfere with their operation.
- Use automated means to create accounts or place load on the service beyond normal app use.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
- Resell, sublicense or make the service available to third parties as your own.
- Circumvent storage quotas, subscription checks, or the release conditions of a capsule.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section.
7.Subscriptions, billing and renewal
My Card Wallet sells auto-renewing subscriptions. They grant server storage for capsules. There is no free plan; an unsubscribed account has a small allowance sufficient to seal a text capsule.
- Plans and prices. Basic, Plus and Max, each available monthly or annually. The exact price for your region and currency is shown on the purchase screen before you confirm, and is charged in the currency your store account uses.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase. We never receive or handle your payment details.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Managing and cancelling. Manage the subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. We cannot cancel it for you; only the store can.
- Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Eligibility is decided by the store, not by us.
- Price changes. We may change prices. A change takes effect at your next renewal, and the store will notify you and, where required, ask you to consent before it applies.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies. We cannot issue a refund for a store purchase. Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal under consumer law in your country, that right is unaffected by this section.
8.Apple App Store
Where you obtained My Card Wallet: Secure Notes from the Apple App Store, the following applies and prevails over anything inconsistent elsewhere in these terms:
- This agreement is between you and Highglossy FZE only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for My Card Wallet: Secure Notes and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for My Card Wallet: Secure Notes.
- If My Card Wallet: Secure Notes fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to My Card Wallet: Secure Notes, including product liability, failure to conform to legal requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement or discharge of any third-party claim that My Card Wallet: Secure Notes infringes intellectual property rights.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.
9.Google Play
Where you obtained My Card Wallet: Secure Notes from Google Play, your purchase and the delivery of the app are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for My Card Wallet: Secure Notes, its content or support. Refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google under its own policies.
10.Storage, expiry and reclamation
Your plan sets a storage quota. When you reach it you can still open, download and delete what you have; you cannot add more until you free space or upgrade.
If your subscription lapses, storage becomes read-only and a download-only window opens, during which you can retrieve everything. When that window closes, capsules that were never armed for release may be deleted to reclaim the space. Capsules already armed for release are not deleted for non-payment: a capsule that someone is waiting on must not fail because a subscription ended.
We will notify you in the app when the window opens and before it closes.
11.Availability
We aim to keep My Card Wallet available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features.
If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give you at least 90 days' notice in the app and by any other means we have, so you can download your capsules before it ends.
Timed release depends on our systems being reachable at the relevant moment. We make no guarantee that a release occurs at a precise instant, and you should not design around one.
12.Termination
You may stop using My Card Wallet and delete your account at any time from within the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible, and it destroys your capsules, including any awaiting release.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are legally required to, or if continuing would expose us or other users to material risk. Except where a breach makes it inappropriate, we will give notice first.
13.Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Card Wallet: Secure Notes is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that My Card Wallet: Secure Notes will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a capsule will be delivered, opened or released at any particular time.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud. If you deal as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
14.Limitation of liability
Subject to the section above, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings.
- We are not liable for loss of data or of capsule contents arising from the loss of your device or key, since we are architecturally unable to recover either.
- Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) 50 EUR.
15.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use My Card Wallet: Secure Notes after that point means you accept the change; if you do not, stop using the app and delete your account.
16.Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.
