Terms of Use

CutStory: Reels & Story Maker is operated by Highglossy FZE, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates, with its registered office at Al Shmookh Business Center, One UAQ, UAQ Free Trade Zone, Umm Al Quwain, U.A.E. (“we”, “us”).

By downloading, installing or using CutStory: Reels & Story Maker, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding contract where you live. If you are using CutStory: Reels & Story Maker on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it to these terms.

Most of CutStory works without an account. You may sign in, for example with Sign in with Apple, to keep your templates and settings across devices. We do not issue passwords; the sign-in provider authenticates you. You can delete the account from the app's settings at any time; your purchases stay with your Apple ID and can be restored.

You are responsible for keeping your device and your sign-in provider account secure.

CutStory is a video editor for people who publish on social networks: it splits long videos into Stories, generates subtitles, applies templates, records with a teleprompter and exports in the right format for each platform.

CutStory is not a hosting or backup service: your projects exist on your device and wherever you export them. It does not publish on your behalf and does not store your social-network credentials. Automatic subtitles are generated by speech recognition and may contain mistakes; check them before you publish.

You keep every right in the videos, photos, text and templates you create. We claim no ownership of them and receive no licence beyond what is needed to store the templates you choose to sync to your account. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to the footage, music and fonts you use and that what you publish does not infringe anyone's rights or break the rules of the platform you post to.

You must not:

• Attempt to gain access to another user's account, data or key material.
• Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems without our prior written consent, or otherwise interfere with their operation.
• Use automated means to create accounts or place load on the service beyond normal app use.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
• Resell, sublicense or make the service available to third parties as your own.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section.

CutStory sells auto-renewing subscriptions. CutStory Pro, available weekly, monthly or yearly, unlocks the full set of templates, subtitles and export options. A one-time purchase removes the watermark from exported videos and never renews. The exact price for your region and currency is shown on the purchase screen before you confirm.

• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase. We never receive or handle your payment details.
• Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Managing and cancelling. Manage the subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. We cannot cancel it for you; only the store can.
• Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Eligibility is decided by the store, not by us.
• Price changes. We may change prices. A change takes effect at your next renewal, and the store will notify you and, where required, ask you to consent before it applies.

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies. We cannot issue a refund for a store purchase. Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal under consumer law in your country, that right is unaffected by this section.

Where you obtained CutStory: Reels & Story Maker from the Apple App Store, the following applies and prevails over anything inconsistent elsewhere in these terms:

• This agreement is between you and Highglossy FZE only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for CutStory: Reels & Story Maker and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for CutStory: Reels & Story Maker.
• If CutStory: Reels & Story Maker fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to CutStory: Reels & Story Maker, including product liability, failure to conform to legal requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
• Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement or discharge of any third-party claim that CutStory: Reels & Story Maker infringes intellectual property rights.
• You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.

We aim to keep CutStory: Reels & Story Maker available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice in the app or by any other means we have.

You may stop using CutStory: Reels & Story Maker at any time and delete your account from within the app; deletion is irreversible. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are legally required to, or if continuing would expose us or other users to material risk. Except where a breach makes it inappropriate, we will give notice first.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CutStory: Reels & Story Maker is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that CutStory: Reels & Story Maker will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and for fraud. If you deal as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Subject to the section above, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings.
• We are not liable for loss of projects or recordings stored only on your device.
• Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) 50 EUR.

We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use CutStory: Reels & Story Maker after that point means you accept the change; if you do not, stop using the app and delete your account.

These terms are governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.
